Texting Terms

Signing up

You join by ticking the text alert box on our sign-up page or when you create a parent account, and giving us your mobile number. The box is never ticked for you. Signing up is optional and is not a condition of registering, enrolling, buying anything, or taking part in any studio activity.

What we send

Recurring automated messages about your dancer and the studio: class cancellations and closings, schedule changes, recital and picture day reminders, and studio announcements. We do not sell advertising space in these messages and we do not share your number with anyone else for marketing.

Frequency and cost

Message frequency varies with what is happening at the studio, usually a few messages a month and more around recital. The Dancing School does not charge for these messages, but message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply.

Stopping the messages

Reply STOP to any message at any time. You will get one confirmation and then nothing further:

You have been unsubscribed from The Dancing School alerts. No more messages will be sent. Reply START to resubscribe.

STOP, END, CANCEL, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE and REVOKE all work. You can also turn texts off yourself in your parent account, or just call the studio. Opting out never affects your dancer's place in class, and you will still get studio news by email if you want it.

Carriers and delivery

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is not guaranteed, so please keep an eye on our Facebook page and your email for anything time critical such as a weather closing.
