The Dancing School by Miss Jilli

Parent Information

Everything you need to know about our studio, policies, and what to expect for your dancer.

What to Expect

When your child joins The Dancing School, they enter a supportive, nurturing environment where learning and fun go hand in hand. Classes are structured by age and skill level, ensuring every dancer is appropriately challenged and encouraged. Our instructors focus on building technique, confidence, and a genuine love for dance.

Dress Code

Dancers should wear fitted dancewear or comfortable athletic clothing that allows freedom of movement. Specific footwear is required for each style: ballet slippers for ballet, tap shoes for tap, jazz shoes for jazz, and clean sneakers for hip-hop. Hair should be pulled back securely. Detailed dress code requirements are provided at registration.

Recital Information

Our annual recital is the highlight of the dance season! Every dancer gets the opportunity to perform on stage and showcase their hard work. Costume information and fees are communicated well in advance, and rehearsal schedules are shared as the recital approaches. Family and friends are invited to celebrate our dancers' achievements.

Studio Policies

We ask that students arrive on time and ready to dance. Parents are welcome to observe classes periodically. Communication is key — please contact Miss Jilli with any questions or concerns. We maintain a safe, inclusive environment where every child feels valued and respected.
